Volunteers, like those who helped with our 2012 Oktoberfest, play a vital role at the Franco Center

Volunteers like these at our 2012 Oktoberfest play a vital role in keeping the Franco Center’s costs down.

Volunteers make up the backbone of the Franco Center. Much like this building was built with many hands and helpers, this organization has been built on the kindness, tireless hours, hard work, and loving labor of many people for over 10 years.

Volunteers serve in all aspects of our operation. Ushering at events, decorating our spaces, aiding in office duties, and grassroots marketing are all ways that people serve our mission.

Our staff, board, and volunteers alike have been inspired by the service of Lou Jordan, our beloved volunteer coordinator, who passed away in 2011. Her presence was a fixture at the Center, and a proud public face for what we do here. We dedicate the work of our hands and hearts to her memory and the legacy of giving she demonstrated.

This coming year, the Franco Center is working towards significant growth in all areas. With this growth comes a need for helpful hands to work in the following areas:

  • Event Crew (ushers, will-call ticket window, concession sales, clean-up)
  • Mass mailings
  • Poster distribution

Should you want to assist, please contact the Franco Center at (207) 783-1585.
