The Franco Center will again host one of Lewiston/Auburn’s foremost social and cultural events, The Franco Center Gala and Benefit Concert. At its annual gala, The Center offers the community an exceptional evening of elegance, exciting entertainment and a generous table of wine and gourmet foods.  The benefit concert is a significant event on The Center’s fundraising and programming calendar. The Benefit and Gala includes receptions before and after the concert.

    Bates Dance Festival annual Musicians Concert in the Franco-American Heritage Center.  Thoughtful, playful and profound music takes center stage when these extraordinary composers, known for their collaborations with dancers, perform a program of original and improvised works that blend musical styles from around the globe. The evening features multi-instrumentalists Jesse Manno, Terrence Karn, and Shamou whose collective musical repertory spans Africa, Asia and the Middle East; composers and pianists, Peter Jones, Mike Vargas and Carl Landa; electronic music wizard Albert Mathias; and violin prodigy Rob Flax.

    Fiddle-icious Nov 2014 LRFiddle-icious is an orchestra of diverse, enthusiastic musicians playing fiddles, guitars, flutes, banjos, tin whistles, accordions, cellos, violas, mandolins, harps, stand-up bass and other instruments. The members come from around the state including Biddeford, Brunswick, Cape Elizabeth,  Coopers Mills, Gorham, South Bremen, Lewiston, Portland, and Raymond. The large and vibrant group of Maine musicians with diverse musical abilities range in age from youth to retirees and are engaged in occupations as varied as blacksmith and veterinarian.  The music is scored for beginners up to advanced players, creating a full, rich sound.
